A winter rug protects your horse from the cold
A winter blanket is very comfortable for your horse the moment the cold days set in again. Your horse can, however, take care of himself as well. He grows a thicker coat as soon as the cold sets in and this coat is warm, insulating and waterproof. And yet, that little extra protection of a winter rug is sometimes a very welcome addition for your horse. There are situations also in which you cannot really do without a good winter blanket. For example, when your horse has been shaved.

Winter blankets are available in many different types and that may be because of the many different situations in which they can be used. For example, you can choose a lighter blanket if your horse is stabled.
