This high quality double jointed Baucher bunt, with ring and lever action pinned shears, is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy consisting of 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material gives a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth, creating a soft and even pressure distribution. Due to the combination of the design and the unique composition of Cuprigan, the chewing process and the saliva formation is stimulated, so that a fine connection can be created with the sensitive horse's mouth. The upward scissors with ring are slightly outwards, which ensures optimal freedom for the horse's head. The mouthpiece has a thickness of 16 mm and the scissors have a length of 110 mm.
A Bauchertrens has upward scissors with a ring for attachment to the cheek pieces. Unlike other snaffles, this bit applies pressure behind the horse's ears through a light leverage effect. The bit is well suited for sensitive horses.
With a double-broken bit, the mouthpiece consists of three parts. The middle part of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue. This puts more pressure on the tongue than with a single broken mouthpiece. The thicker the middle part, the more pressure on the tongue.
