This MHS double jointed gag bit is made of stainless steel with a copper center piece. It has a simple effect in the mouth by applying pressure on the tongue as well as the layers. The copper center piece provides a sweet taste, it is easier for the horse to accept the bit. The half full cheek snaffles on the outside give the bit a stable and quiet position in the mouth.

Maintenance of bits
It is wise to clean the bit after each use, this can simply be done under the tap or in a bucket of water. A bit of good and extensive cleaning is best done with a little lukewarm / warm water and a soft cloth. After washing, dry the bit with a dry cloth. Boiling your bit once a month in a pan of water ensures an optimal clean result and is the most effective way to get the bit really clean.
Tips
- Never use soap and / or detergents in connection with allergic reactions when washing
- If the bit is very dirty, soak it in hot water for a while
